The allure of Padauk and yellow birch are the perfect combination with the richness of walnut. Padauk is a hardwood that comes from the Pterocarpus genus of trees and is native to Central and West Africa. It is known for its typically robust reddish-brown coloration. Although colors can range from a stunning bright orange to a slightly muted burgundy often with highlights, grain lines and/or secondary colors ranging from brick red to a more purplish muted hue. Padauk is quite rare in the United States.
